The Path we wil Take

Lesson Overview

In a circle all are equal.

Look for circles in astronomy, botany, geology, zoology.

Using Two Eyed Seeing and Indigenous Ways of Knowing is taking what we know from our traditional education to look at the world through an Indigenous lens.

To your left is a graphic of the flow of the lesson. Like life it will change and be made better when we learn together. Each year I become a better person by learning with and through my students.

Intro assignment: Where do you see or observe circles or cycles?

Home - This is the main page of the website.

Survey - To help my research and to improve the lessons.

Lesson Overview

Before beginning we will review Critical Ecology, First Nations Principles of learning (Chart found below), and Tribal Crit. They will be referred back to during the unit.

As you navigate you will see brown buttons on the bottom of the pages for the next steps.

Above is another version of the path of the unit. It includes some of my favorite animals.

Opossum are North America's only marsupials, eat fleas and ticks, and are gentle creatures.

Turtles are not only intelligent and important members of many ecosystems, but they play a part in the cosmology of Turtle Island.
